How it usually runs

Three nights is enough.

Shorter than a honeymoon, so the trade is one base done well against two done quickly.

01 Day 1

Land and stop moving

Arrive at Ngurah Rai, transfer straight to the villa. The first evening is deliberately empty.

02 Day 2

One thing, not five

A waterfall in the morning or a temple at dusk. Trying to do both is how a short trip turns into driving.

03 Day 3

The add-on day

Candlelight dinner, spa for two, flower bath. This is the day the villa earns its rate.

04 Optional

Move once

If you have a fourth night, jungle to coast is the move worth making. If you do not, stay put.

Couples who try two regions in three nights spend most of the third one in a car.

Pick two, not six.

Packages run USD 3,330 to 6,370 per couple across Seminyak, Ubud and Uluwatu, with beachfront at the top of that. The shortest, if you want one, starts at USD 3,330 per couple for seven days and six nights.

Things worth checking.

Arrival
Ngurah Rai in Denpasar, on visa exemption or visa on arrival for most leisure visitors.
Season
Dry from April to October. The monsoon from November to March brings rain, lower rates and far fewer people.
Booking
Book through verified accounts or recognised platforms. Fake listings using stolen villa photos are a known problem here.
Ceremonies
A legal marriage needs paperwork from both countries. Symbolic ceremonies and vow renewals do not.
